Doors at 6 to meet the man himself! Free screening at 7. Hang out after to "network" with fellow industry humans.

Darron Cardosa is The Bitchy Waiter.

In 2008, he started a blog as a way to release the frustrations that come with being in the world of food service. Writing stories on the Internet about annoying customers was better than poking the annoying customers in their eyes with forks.

Today, he is the voice for restaurant workers around the world, saying out loud what most people in the restaurant industry are only allowed to think.

He lives and works in New York City and enjoys The Brady Bunch, The Facts of Life and cocktails almost as much as he hates your baby.

Ken MacLaughlin | Director / Content Creator

Ken MacLaughlin is a self-made filmmaker and storyteller who began creating short films and comedy content in 2009. With no formal film school training, he learned by doing, writing, directing, and producing his own projects that combined humor, honesty, and character-driven storytelling.

As one half of the creative duo Decent Humans, Ken developed original series and sketches that explored the awkward edges of everyday life. He created Shift Drinks Comedy, a project dedicated to the absurdities of nightlife and socializing, and The Worst Couple, a series that mined relationship chaos for laughs and insight. Ken also co-manages the Bitchy Waiter Facebook page, helping shape it into a sharp, irreverent voice for service industry life.

After nearly two decades waiting tables, he draws heavily from that experience in his writing and direction. The unpredictability, emotion, and human connection of restaurant work continue to shape his storytelling.

His approach to filmmaking is very collaborative. He invites people to experiment and to fail and to find the humor and human moments in both. His work focuses on flawed characters, honest humor, and the moments where ordinary people reveal something true about themselves.

We’re So Dead is his feature film debut.
